Finley the Sea King Helicopter

Finley Eckersley is HeliOperations number one fan, he loves to watch our Sea King helicopters take to the skies at our training base in Portland. Finley and his dad got invited to take a tour of HeliOps Portland earlier this year. And to their surprise, HeliOperations CEO Steve Gladston formally agreed to name a Sea King aircraft Finley.

The Sea King helicopter in question was previously known as XZ920. It was later flown to Bournemouth for a re-spray and now has “Finley” stencilled on its fuselage. So the next time you see a RoyalNavy FAA livery coloured Sea King fly overhead, please give Finley a wave…
