Sustainable Aviation

With Electric Vehicles & Solar Power

Posted: 10th May, 2024

In today’s world, environmental sustainability is no longer an option but a necessity. HeliOperations stands at the forefront of the aviation industry, leading the charge towards a greener future. As a company deeply committed to reducing its carbon footprint and embracing eco-friendly practices, HeliOperations is proud to announce significant milestones in its journey towards sustainability.

One of the most notable achievements is the introduction of an electric fleet of vehicles, including vans and Teslas. These are proudly branded with the HeliOps logo and colours. These vehicles represent more than just a mode of transportation; they symbolise our dedication to sustainable aviation. By expanding our fleet of electric vehicles, we are significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and minimising our impact on the planet.

But our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop there. HeliOperations has recently been awarded ISO14001 certification, a prestigious environmental approval that reflects our adherence to the highest standards of environmental management. This certification is a testament to our continuous efforts to integrate sustainable practices into every aspect of our operations.

In line with our sustainability goals, we have also taken a bold step towards renewable energy by installing 180KW of solar panels on the roof of our hangar at Portland. These solar panels harness the power of the sun to generate clean, renewable energy, further reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and contributing to a cleaner, greener future.

By harnessing the power of solar energy to charge our electric vehicles, we are creating a closed-loop system that minimizes our environmental impact while maximizing efficiency. This integrated approach not only reduces operational costs but also sets a new standard for sustainable aviation practices.

At HeliOperations, we believe that sustainability is not just a buzzword; it’s a core value that guides everything we do. From our electric fleet to our solar-powered facilities, every decision we make is rooted in our commitment to preserving the planet for future generations.

As we continue to innovate and lead the way in sustainable aviation, we invite others to join us on this journey towards a brighter, cleaner, and more sustainable future.
