USAF CV-22 Ospreys return to Osprey Quay

Posted: 5th June, 2020

The 7th Special Operations Squadron from the 352nd Special Operations Wing at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk returned to HeliOps Portland last week. The pair of United States Air Force CV-22 Ospreys, whose mission is to conduct long-range infiltration, exfiltration and resupply missions for special operations forces, visited Osprey Quay to refuel whilst conducting training along the South Coast.

Always delighted to host our cousins from East Anglia, the crews were treated to some good old fashioned Portland fish and chips. So I suspect we’ll see the 7th SOS tiltrotors back at Portland soon!
