HeliOperations is pleased to announce that construction of a new purpose-built hangar at our Portland base will begin next month. This marks a significant investment in our infrastructure and long-term capability as the UK’s leading provider of helicopter-based Search and Rescue (SAR) and maritime aviation training.
The new facility will include a modern hangar, dedicated office space, and advanced training areas designed to support both current and future operations. This expansion is in direct response to increasing global demand for specialist SAR helicopter training and operational support.
As a trusted training provider operating under both military MAA and civilian CAA regulations, HeliOperations delivers world-class programmes for aircrew, engineers and operators across the globe. Our training is designed to meet the highest standards of safety and operational readiness.
To support our growing commitments, we have also expanded our fleet with new AW139 helicopters – a proven platform for SAR and maritime operations. These aircraft will play a key role in our international training programmes and operational deployments.
HeliOperations continues to work with military and civilian partners to deliver effective, mission-ready training that meets real-world demands. For partnership enquiries, operational support or to learn more about our training services, please contact us directly.
